Cove

Terms of service

The agreement between you and Cove, written to be read.

Last updated 21 October 2026. In effect from that date.

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Jeremy Ong ("we", "us") for your use of Cove: the website, the Cove apps and the Cove connector in AI assistants. By creating an account or using Cove you agree to them. The privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

Your account

You sign in with a Google account you control. Keep it secure, because anyone who can sign in to it can reach your Cove workspace. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what assistants and apps you connect do with the permissions you approve.

You must be at least 13, or the minimum age for consent to online services where you live if that is higher.

Your content

You own what you put in Cove. You give us permission to store, copy and process it only as needed to run Cove for you, including showing it to the apps and assistants you connect. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account. Deleted content can stay in Cove's private backups while your account exists; deleting your account deletes them too, within a day.

Acceptable use

Do not use Cove to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
  • try to reach another person's workspace, test or bypass our security, or interfere with the service;
  • send automated traffic beyond normal use, or work around limits;
  • store content that is illegal or that exploits or harms others.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or security prevents it.

AI assistants and automation

Cove lets assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude read and change your records within the permissions you approve. Assistants can make mistakes. Cove keeps a history of changes and refuses some actions to assistants (for example, inviting people to calendar events), but you are responsible for checking what an assistant does on your behalf.

Plans and limits

Cove is free. There are no paid plans, and nothing is billed. Each account has fair-use limits on how much it stores and how often it changes things, so the service stays fast for everyone; Cove tells you if you reach one. If we ever introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged without your clear agreement.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Cove available and your data safe, with daily private backups, but Cove is provided as it is and we cannot promise it will never be interrupted. We may change or stop features. If we stop Cove altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and time to export your data.

Ending your use

You can stop using Cove and delete your account at any time from your account page. We may end these terms if you break them seriously or repeatedly, after notice where possible.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for all claims relating to Cove is limited to SGD 100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights you have as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore can hear any dispute about them. This does not take away protections that the consumer law where you live gives you. If a dispute arises, please contact us first at cove@lifeplainly.com, and we will try to resolve it with you.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Cove after that means you accept the new terms.
